  • No last-minute courses.
  • We handle it all.

The Reality

Most nurseries and schools already have staff with valid paediatric first aid certificates.

However, in practice, confidence fades over time. Skills aren’t used regularly, guidance changes, and staff turnover means knowledge becomes inconsistent across teams.

At the same time, expectations around first aid provision — particularly around allergy awareness and anaphylaxis — continue to increase.

The Challenge

Traditional first aid training is typically delivered as a one-off course every three
years.

This often leads to:

  • Skills fade between training cycles
  • Pressure to organise requalification before expiry
  • Large, one-off training costs
  • New staff requiring separate training arrangements
  • Difficulty evidencing ongoing competence for EYFS and Ofsted

In reality, the responsibility for managing training, compliance, and readiness sits
with you.

The Solution

The Ongoing First Aid Competence Programme replaces this model with a simple, fully managed approach.

For a fixed monthly cost per learner, your entire team is continuously supported,
trained, and compliant — without the need to organise training separately.

This is not additional training to manage.

It replaces the need to manage it altogether.

“Paul has been coming to St Joseph’s Catholic School in Ramsgate for the past three years. Staff always ask for him specifically and don’t want anyone else — he’s that good.”

Who This Is Delivered By

This programme is delivered by an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Paramedic) with frontline experience across urgent care and primary care settings.

This means your team isn’t just receiving standard first aid training — they’re learning from real-world clinical experience, including how situations develop, how to recognise early deterioration, and how to respond confidently when it matters most.

The focus is not just on certification, but on practical decision-making, confidence, and safe, consistent care.

Paul recently delivered paediatric first aid training at St Mary’s Catholic School, Deal. Shortly afterwards, staff were required to respond to a choking incident.

The trained first aiders managed the situation calmly and effectively, and staff reported feeling confident in applying what they had learned.

As a Headteacher, I value training that prepares staff for real situations — not just meeting requirements. Paul’s approach achieved this, and I would be happy to discuss our experience with any school considering his training.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we still need to book first aid courses?

No — everything, including requalification, is included within the programme.

What about new staff?

They are included from the point they join, with no additional cost.

When should we join the programme?

Now is the best time to join. As soon as you’re enrolled, your whole team is covered — with ongoing CPD, support, and training already in place. New staff are included as they join, with no additional one-off training costs or separate course bookings.

As long as your current certificates have at least six months remaining, there is plenty of time for requalification to be planned and managed for you, without any pressure, last-minute bookings, or disruption.

As part of the initial rollout, I’m currently offering a free on-site visit to review your first aid provision and ensure everything is safe, compliant, and inspection-ready.

Will we still meet EYFS requirements?

Yes — this approach supports compliance while also providing evidence of ongoing
competence, which is increasingly expected.

How are practical skills maintained?

Through scheduled hands-on refresher sessions alongside ongoing CPD.

Is this more expensive than traditional training?

In most cases, it works out more cost-effective when you consider requalification,
refresher training, and ongoing support.
